About the Trainer

Rich Kerlin has been professionally training dogs and their owners for over seventeen years. He also conducts dog-training seminars and workshops across the country. He is the owner of “Kerlin Kanine Training” a full time dog training facility located north of Pittsburgh , PA. He is also a “Field Product Specialist” for Tri-Tronics Inc. Rich actively trains and handles dogs in both the Pointer and Retriever Hunt Test programs of the A.K.C., U.K.C., N.A.H.R.A., N.A.V.H.D.A., and N.A.D.K.C. He also has trained and handled dogs in the A.K.C. Spaniel Hunt Test program. Kerlin Kanine Training offers full time Gun Dog Training for Retrievers, Pointers, and Flushing breeds, in addition to conducting Private lessons to include all Breed obedience classes and Behavioral Consultation. Rich is a firm believer in today’s youth and volunteers his time and dogs by providing dog training programs to various Youth Field Days, Outdoor Schools/Camps and routinely conducts “Safe Dogs and Children” programs to many local schools, churches and youth organizations such as the Boy Scouts and the Girls Scouts of Western PA.
